The Couqueto lamp is a nod to Provençal headdresses.

The headdress is the essential element of any folk costume. It's the headdress that at first glance identifies the origin of the wearer of the regional costume. It is also the headdress that has longest survived as the original element of the costume.

Glossary: Couqueto, this headdress was worn particularly in Marseille by the bourgeoisie and wealthy craftswomen. Very graceful and elegant, it is reminiscent of the "Chanoinesse" headdress.

Made in a lampshade factory in the south of France
We visited this factory near Valence, which makes all kinds of lampshades.
all kinds of lampshades. Here, cutting-edge machines rub shoulders with old-fashioned
sewing machines to dress all the metal wire frames in unison. The challenge
accepted by the teams was to deconstruct traditional forms to propose a
sculptural lamp, while remaining attentive to production constraints.
