Piou, wine decanter
The Carafe Piou proudly struts around like a bird: a Peacock or a Bartavelle. The designer refers to the strong image inscribed in the collective memory of the "bird" decanter, sometimes rooster, sometimes duck. The one that sat on our grandmothers' tables. Reminiscent of this unusual and familiar shape, Piou is a quirky nod to the ancient traditions of Provençal tableware. The carafe is also a tribute to the vineyards of the South of France. It allows the wine to be decanted and aerated to reveal its personality and thus enhance the value of the finest vintages.

"Then he would uncork a bottle of local wine, this beautiful ruby-colored wine, which has been called Château-Neuf des Papes, and he would taste it in small blows, looking at his vine with a tender air. Then, the bottle emptied, at dusk, he would happily return to the city."
Letters from my mill, Alphonse Daudet
