The Osco tray is a tribute to a still life by Paul Cézanne. Its shape is inspired by the tapestry motifs found in some of his paintings. Basketry, the testimony of an ancestral local know-how. A sculptural object that will be enthroned in the middle of the table allowing in its turn to compose a still life or magnifying a tea service, this small tray does not dictate any use. At the center of all attentions, pedestal of our most beautiful objects, it would almost be seen on the wall like an African mask.

"It all boils down to this: having sensations and reading nature. (...) Shadow is a color like light, but it is less brilliant; light and shadow are only a two-tone relationship. ... This is why black is often preferred to earth colors. Indeed, black does not devalue itself if the painting is badly lit."
