Gaté, cups and saucers
We find in the curves of the hand-turned Gaté teapot those of a small Provençal water jar. Its oversized upper handle offers a new gesture of service, with the subtle delicacy of a sacred ritual, an art of living. It is an endearing and precious object that comforts and warms on a mistral day, an ode to past pottery. The Gaté cups are nestled in small black terracotta nests that give them a certain modernity. Their design is pure and minimalist. As saucers, the designer imagines precious rings on which they delicately nestle.

"The April mistral causes suffering like no other aquilon. It doesn’t destroy,it sorry. The tender appearance of life is crumpled in broad layers as the leaves grow. Cruel wind, alms of spring. The Nightingale song has ende. So many blows have stunned the night !"
